Lazy Boots Spring Fever Festival (24 - 26 Apr)

The Lazy Boots 2009 Spring Fever festival was held at St Audries Bay over the weekend 24 – 26 Apr 09.  Friday night we were entertained superbly by Hombre with support from Stu on Lazy Boots Disco.

Saturday morning brought dance instruction from Terry & Caroline French and Jeff & Thelma Mills.  Terry & Caroline started off with their new dance inspired by the TV program, Dancing On Ice.  Music tracks used were Tequila on Ice by Darryl Worley and Love Will Keep Us Alive by The Eagles.  Jeff followed on with the Line Dance ‘Boyfriend Of The Year’ choreographed by Yvonne Anderson to the track ‘My Favourite Boyfriend Of The Year’ by the Australian family trio, The McClymonts. 

We had some fabulous lunchtime entertainment from Mike & Angie McKoy (Angie sang ‘Lord, I Hope This Day Is Good’ especially for Stuart.)  Later in the afternoon, Jeff & Thelma taught their new dance ‘Flow Together’ to the Bellamy Brothers dance mix version of Let Your Love Flow, this was followed by Terry teaching an easy 32 count line dance ‘Let Your Love Flow’ to the same music, choreographed by Mick Storey.  So everyone was able to dance together on this one.

In the evening we had a great evening of music from Cactus River, again with lots to keep the dancers on the floor.  Stuart finally managed to shut the disco down just after 1am.

Sunday morning brought the final dance instruction sessions with Jeff & Thelma teaching their brand new dance Railway Blues to a track ‘Blue Train’ by John D Loudermilk (though as Jeff demonstrated it will fit to most medium pace 2 step songs).  Terry finished the instruction for the weekend with Mess Around, choreographed by Paul McAdam and danced to ‘Mess Around & Fall In Love’ by Shakin’ Stevens and Bonnie Tyler.

There was time for recaps of the dances taught before closing down the event in time for Sunday Lunch.
