Lazy Boots Halloween Festival 2009 (30th Oct - 1 Nov 2009)
Report
Friday afternoon started off the weekend with the usual meeting up and greeting old friends, together with some social dancing in the ballroom. The weekend entertainment got off to a cracking start in the evening with Stuart on the disco and our first live band for the weekend, the excellent Capricorn. This fabulous 4-piece band put on a great show of classic Country music which kept the dance floor buzzing all night.
On Saturday morning the dance instruction began. Our resident dance instructors Terry & Caroline French were joined this weekend by Jim & Nen Godsall. A list of dances taught is given below.
Saturday afternoon entertainment was provided by the brilliant Steve Chase and in the evening after dinner we were splendidly entertained by Spur and Kalibre. The 2 duos teamed up during the final set to give terrific finale to the evening.
As always the assembled guests joined in the Halloween spirit on Saturday night with a fabulous array of costumes - check out the photo gallery.
Sunday morning was a final opportunity for more dance instruction and recaps of all dances taught before it was time to close down the event for Sunday lunch and goodbyes.
