Lazy Boots Western Dancers run 4 weekend Western Dance Festivals each year. These festivals are all limited places events, ensuring that everyone has room to sit in comfort and more importantly, room to dance. Your seats both in the dining room and the ballroom are guaranteed for the whole weekend, allowing you to decorate your tables with flags and mascots if you wish. Check out the information below about each of the events below. On the individual festival pages you will find links to booking forms and reports of previous events. There are also step sheets for dances taught and photos from previous events.
- Our Valentine Festival is held at the Aberavon Beach Hotel, Neath Port Talbot in South Wales, The event runs from Friday afternoon through to Sunday lunchtime. The price includes 2 nights half-board accommodation and a full Sunday lunch. Live entertainment is provided on Friday and Saturday nights with dance workshops on Saturday (both am and pm) and Sunday morning. The workshops are for line and partner dancers, though all forms of Western dance (2-step, NC2, ECS) are welcome.
- Our Spring Fever Festival is held at the St Audries Bay Holiday Club near Minehead, Somerset. The event runs from Friday afternoon through to Sunday lunchtime on the weekend before the May Day Bank Holiday weekend. The price includes 2 nights half-board accommodation and a full Sunday lunch. Live entertainment is provided on Friday and Saturday nights and Saturday lunchtime, with dance workshops on Saturday (both am and pm) and Sunday morning. The workshops are for line and partner dancers, though all forms of Western dance (2-step, NC2, ECS) are welcome.
- Our Halloween Festival is also held at the St Audries Bay Holiday Club near Minehead, Somerset. The event runs from Friday afternoon through to Sunday lunchtime. The price includes 2 nights half-board accommodation and a full Sunday lunch. Live entertainment is provided on Friday and Saturday nights and Saturday lunchtime, with dance workshops on Saturday (am and pm) and Sunday morning. The workshops are for line and partner dancers, though all forms of Western dance (2-step, NC2, ECS) are welcome. The Saturday night dance is an optional fancy dress party night, with a traditional Halloween theme, prizes are awarded for the best costumes.
- Brand new for 2009 is our Festive Frolics Festival which will be held at the St Audries Bay Holiday Club near Minehead, Somerset. The event runs from Friday afternoon through to Monday morning. The price includes 3 nights half-board accommodation including breakfast on Monday. Live entertainment is provided on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights and Sunday lunchtime, with dance workshops on Saturday and Sunday. The workshops are for line and partner dancers, though all forms of Western dance (2-step, NC2, ECS) are welcome during the social dancing and dance nights.
